A New Jersey native, Kayla considers herself a true triple threat: actor, singer, and Italian....no that's not right...performer, creator, and teacher. There we go. She grew up with a love to sing and perform since the moment she began to speak and hasn't stopped since.

She now resides in Central Pennsylvania with her husband and son where she works as a voice teacher and coach, vocal director, singer, actor, and creator. Regionally she has performed with Fulton Theatre, Gretna Theatre, Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, Allenberry Playhouse, Prima Theatre. She also recently made her Green Room 42 debut in her critically acclaimed solo show Becoming Benanti which was heralded as "one of the sweetest, most charming, and, yes, even adorable nightclub acts to play New York City this season." In 2019 Kayla created and her debuted her one woman show: Maybe This Time I’ll Belt at Open Stage of Harrisburg.

 

Kayla has also amassed a following of over 20K on TikTok where she creates educational content for musical theatre students. She created a series on Instagram called In Conversation With…where she partnered with a different professional in the theatre industry each week to go LIVE and have conversation about their experiences in the industry, offer advice, answer questions, and learn. She connected with Laura Benanti through the hashtag #SunshineSongs, which Laura created to highlight students whose shows were cancelled due to COVID-19, and Kayla performed in her virtual Sunshine Songs Concert. She has maintained a full private studio from her home and was also an adjunct instructor in music at Lebanon Valley College where she received her B.A. in Music with a concentration in voice. She has vocal directed many shows and has also been a vocal coach for productions. She held the position of soprano soloist and section leader at Pine Street Presbyterian Church for three years under the direction of Brett A. Terry. She regularly visits NYC for masterclasses, workshops, and coachings with renowned artists including Natalie Weiss, Betsy Wolfe, and Alexa Green. 

A proud NATS member, Kayla has been teaching for eight years and offers private voice lessons and coachings with an emphasis on vocal health and freedom. She studied classical technique under Dr. Rebecca Lister and continues to study both classical and contemporary technique with today’s leading vocal pedagogues including Michael Hadary, Jared Trudeau, Mary Saunders Barton, and Amanda Flynn with a focus in Musical Theatre Vocal Pedagogy. She has continued her education by completing Amanda Flynn's Winter 2021 Vocal Pedagogy Course, the Penn State Bel Canto Can Belto Workshop in 2020, taking classes with The Growing Studio in NYC, and Rock the Audition with Sheri Sanders. She believes everyone has a unique sound that the world needs to hear and is passionate about developing singers to help them find their voice and believe in themselves. Her students have won national talent competitions, local theatre awards, been admitted to schools to study musical theatre, and landed dream roles. 

She will work with you, no matter your skill level, to become the best version of yourself that you can be. You can be sure to find her either on stage, behind the piano teaching, or enjoying a nice cup of coffee on a walk with her family.
